Develop an appreciation for learning biology early through this fish dissection workshop, conducted by our partners, Young Nautilus, on-site at The Learning Lab.

Programme Focus

The P5P6 Fish Dissection workshop by Young Nautilus takes our students through the experience of dissecting and studying the anatomy of a specimen, one of the most experiential and engaging ways of learning biology.

Course Outline

Through this fish dissection workshop, students will be able to learn how the anatomy of a fish is linked to its diet and adaptations.

This programme also focuses on the role of fish in the food web, the effects of overfishing on the balance of the food chain, and the conservation of the marine ecosystem.

Educators from Young Nautilus will guide students through the dissection with a ratio of 1 student to 1 fish.

This programme is done in collaboration with Young Nautilus and will be held at The Learning Lab.

Who can join this programme?

We welcome all students in P5 and P6 in 2027 to attend.

Will the students be separated by level?

Depending on the total number of students, students will largely be split by level.

How will the workshop be conducted?

Experienced expert facilitators from Young Nautilus will conduct this workshop with the students, leading to a safe and guided dissection workshop experience for each student.
