Programme Overview

This programme is designed to provide students with practice for P4 topics covered in Term 1 as well as revision of P3 Diversity topics and honing of experiment skills and question analysis skills.

Programme Focus

Our intensive revision programmes adopt a topic-focused approach, zooming in on frequently asked and application-based questions. Dedicated handouts on exam techniques, such as experiment analysis, help students further refine their experiment analysis skills and answering techniques.

Course Outline

The Primary 4 Science Intensive Revision programme provides comprehensive coverage of selected Primary 3 and Primary 4 topics, including Diversity, Plant Systems, and Human Systems. It also equips students with essential exam skills, such as systematic question analysis and structured answering techniques.

Through this programme, students will learn how to avoid common mistakes and minimise carelessness through the use of targeted strategies. Detailed breakdowns of open-ended questions help students identify and apply relevant keywords to craft complete yet succinct answers. For more challenging application questions, students will learn how to draw links from earlier parts of the question to identify its key focus.

In addition, a dedicated handout on experiment analysis further equips students with the skills needed to tackle different types of examination questions with confidence.

Is this programme targeted at mainstream or GEP students?

This programme is targeted at mainstream students. At the Primary 4 level, GEP students sit for the GEP examination, which differs slightly from the mainstream examination. However, P4 GEP students who would like additional practice may still sign up for this programme.

Will there be any homework?

There will be no homework for this programme. Students will be given time during lessons to attempt most questions as part of classwork. For any remaining questions, students may complete them at home and check their answers against the answer keys provided (please refer to Question 3).

Will the worksheets be marked?

Selected components, such as composition writing, will be collected by the teacher for marking. For other components, teachers will go through the answers in class.

Given the intensive nature of the programme, teachers will place greater emphasis on teaching content, question analysis, and answering techniques. As such, answer keys are provided to allow students to review their work independently after the programme concludes. This differs from our core programmes, where answer keys are not typically provided.

If I am only able to attend one out of the two days, can my child still attend? Are the contents covered related?

Yes, your child may still attend the programme, as different sections of the paper are covered across the two days. Each session focuses on a distinct component.
