Programme Overview

For Ages 10 to 12

Explore mobile application development.

With technologies such as 5G and the Internet of Things becoming more prevalent, mobile application development has grown significantly. There is an increasing demand for applications in areas such as communication, education, healthcare and finance.

Your child will gain insight into how popular applications such as Instagram, TikTok and Telegram are developed. Using the MIT App Inventor platform, we will guide your child through the full mobile application development process, culminating in the creation of a fully functional application.

Course Outline

We aim to nurture the next generation of technology innovators who seek to make a positive impact. MIT App Inventor allows children to create applications with meaningful real-world impact, such as tools that help communities access safe drinking water, support language learning or contribute to public safety. Students have also created applications that monitor and improve passenger safety in the growing ride-hailing industry.

About P201+P202 App Inventor 1+2 (Accelerated) (3 Full-Day Camp)

What is your average class size?

Our classes have a 1:8 teacher-to-student ratio. We keep our classes small so that every student benefits from personalised attention.

What do students need to bring to class?

We provide all equipment for the classes. Students just need to bring stationery, a water bottle and a jacket in case it gets cold.

Are there any prerequisites for the coding classes?

Yes, this differs for each programme. Please check the prerequisites carefully before signing up.

Can students cope with the long hours?

Definitely. Our classes are well-paced with activities in between to ensure that all our students are able to follow along. On top of that, there is also a 10-minute break every hour to ensure they get off-screen time to rest and refresh themselves. Students are also encouraged to bring their own snacks.

Is lunch provided during the full-day camp?

Yes. Please indicate your child’s allergies and dietary requirements during registration. Students will be informed of the lunch menu at the start of the session, and orders will be taken then. Students will dine at the restaurant, and lunchtime will be fully supervised by our teachers.

What is the difference between the 3-day full-day camp and the 5-day (3.5-hour) lessons for P201 + P202 App Inventor 1 + 2? I am unsure which format to choose.

We offer classes in different formats to cater to varying student needs. There is no difference in content coverage, and the materials are the same. Parents may choose the format that suits their schedules best.
